How can people be Christians and still fight about religion?

I don't think I will ever understand that at all. Anybody else not "getting" it?

i don't get it either breezey, seems to me the real message got lost amongst the political manipulation of religion ,all of them.

I still stand by the thought that religion and beliefs are SUPPOSED to make you a better person and there is something wrong if it's not doing that. If people are more happy to fight than get along, something just isn't right!

The problem is, they're not true Christians, just as terrorists are not true Muslims.

Good points, Tater. Just using a name or term to list yourself under something doesn't automatically make it so.

People are all contradictions in terms.

ALL of the major religions teach "Do no harm."
"Love one another";"Love your God".

YEARS ! and YEARS!! later; the Koran has
been "rewritten" to serve the purpose of various
fanatics and people who hate. MOHAMMUD never
said "jehad" -the word din't even exist! when he was around.
He DID say to love the people of ther religions, to honor the Jews,

That's still the largest single reason people immigrate to the
U.S.A.! ReThat... relgious freedom is very very high on people's list.
(That ... and not being exterminated!)

Jesus instruccted his disciples to go "forth" [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] and spread His word.
Some Christians take that to mean "convert or die!" I guess.

I have no explanation for the people who cause others misery in
the name of their God.
