I don't own one, but most people give names to their boats.

i tend to only give names to living things, a friend of mine has names for EVERYTHING, stuffed toys of wich she has a huge collection , car, even house plants .she thought my car needed a name so i called her/him/it emerald ,because thats the colour of her/him/it , 
she was happy with that .

I have been known to name a beanie or two, but they usually have a meaning to me.
I don't name my car... just say I LOVE my car! lol
