Why is sex so important in this world?

Many people seem to talk about it all the time, books and sites and movies are sex oriented, ads are sex oriented, some people won't stay with a partner they SAY they love... if that partner is not good or doesn't want sex as often, and the list goes on.
Does sex sell more and better than love and true relationships?

i had to watch a lot of David Attenborough nature/wildlife programs to realise just how driven every living organism on this planet is to reproduce and fight for living space and mating rights.from the winsiest plants to the bigest animals,we all do the same thing !! it would seem sex makes the world go round !
but humans and some other animals also feel love,and it's much deeper than mere mating frenzy.most ,if not all of our native parrot family mate for life,you can see the bond and commitment betwen them.
if some little green men were to land on this planet, they could be forgiven for thinking we never heard of love,at least as a first impression !! smile2

Let's hope those little green men put a little time and effort into observing humans and seeing love is important to some. lol

Roxanna, we are supposed to be able to think things through, have emotions and all that good stuff... the things that are supposed to separate the humans... yet.. sometimes... some people don't seem to prove that theory really well.
Does that makes sense?

I think I am wondering why many feel that urge to share their thoughts with the world, share their personal life with others and a lot more.
Sex should be important and great... between TWO people. Not two people and everyone else willing to listen or look. Others just seem to have sex like rabbits.
Do animals even change partners as much as some people claim they do?
I have never felt the need to tell the world about what I find to be a personal thing.
I guess I am old fashioned in many ways.

Talking about it, video taping it, sending their stories to magazines, watching porn, etc... it seems it's everywhere and people have a lot of time to spend on it... and not just with one person.
Human nature is one thing, but it seems like it controls a lot of time for many and they don't care who they discuss sex with or what is said.

We { U & I }know a common person in general who is notorious for that

I think its because he is insecure & NOT getting any or feels the need to give details that are really way out of bounds .
I ignore it but others have complained about it .

But... those are all choices you make.
You can tell those people you don't want to hear it and stay out
of Youtube's porn section.
Other people clearly DO want to participate, else there would not
be the HUGE market for this stuff that exists.
Either/any way - you can not choose for anyone else.

I'm not choosing for anyone. Don't plan on trying to either. I chose to find videos on Youtube. My mistake for choosing Youtube. People wanting to share what I don't care to know can't really be my choice.
Basically, you almost have to stay home and away from the public to really not see or hear it.
