Considering how the current monarchy is trampling on liberty and freedom in this country ... I felt a great need to hear this today:

Jack, this leaves me with torn feelings. We the people... which people? The lucky ones who have enough? The ones who are in high places? The democrats? The republics? It seems we the people are divided by so many things. One nation under God... I wonder how God feels about all the fighting and wealthy people doing well while others fight to get a home and meal. Seems so hard to see us all as equal or as one nation under God. Who deserves and who doesn't? I don't know anymore.. I just don't know...

How about the past Monarchy Rabbit. Bush should have been boiled in oil the way him and his good ole boys almost destroyed this country. Don't forget ole George put us into a 9 trillion dollar debt and left Obama a mess. Bill Clinton had us in the BLACK, Bush took over and look what happened. I know you are not my dear friend. I just am like Breezey, it seems we see more suffering and more people getting poor while the rich get richer and when to me there seems to be a positive change in this country many people get upset BECAUSE, they are not used to change. This is our country, lets take it back from all the monarchies, and make it what it used to be. A country where everyone was free, everyone had a job if they wanted, and everyone had a chance for success. Peace not War.

I wonder if that tea party listens to that same music. Racism seems to rear its ugly head and why, we have a BLACK president which is the first one since Clinton that is trying to help the normal American citizen get affordable healthcare. For the money we pay maybe we should look at the doctors who bring us this healthcare. It makes me mad to think I paid a doctor that almost took my life, and not once but twice. So maybe we have more than just insurance to worry about. Even the drugs are made in China?????? WHY???? They can't even make a toy without it being harmful to kids and they have discovered some kind of poison in the drugs they make, but we keep selling them. I wonder if a pharmacist ever wonders if the drugs he gives people is safe or not???? Why do people rebell against something NEW. I just don't get it.

I have noticed... the people who contribute the least

You can not! tell me exerting a little control on the Health Insurance
industry is a bad thing. They've run wild for a very long time.
Brakes on the monolith is a good thing!
Prohibiting "pre-existing" from denying someone health care
is a GOOD thing.

As for the "racist" crap - consider the source -
it's a desperate measure by people who've got no other
(legitimate) complaint. Cowards...
Their only REAL problem is that they were too obstinate
to do it themselves and too devoted to gridlock! to contribute,
until they could look like the heroes of the day.

If we are talking about the health care plan... it seems it may not be all good. I am still going through it, but there's a lot of pages!
Problem will be seeing if the good outweighs the bad.

NOTHING -especially in a democracy- is ever all good - or all bad.
A lot of each will depend on each person's point of view.
If you go through the pages only looking for the bad -
you're sure to find it.
Opinions vary.

Also this healthcare plan is going to be over a 4 or 5 year period and will be gone over by Congress. On the news Obama said he wants any child with a pre exisiting condition not to be denied insurance. He said senior citizens will not have to pay co pays, medicare will pick that up. Believe me Breezey if you had a life threatening disease and all of a sudden your insurance co. cuts you off, what will happen, you will die. This new healthcare plan is for those of us that have this condition and won't be cut off. I already pay 500/month for medical for the both of us, what do you pay??? There will always be good and bad points about this plan as Ja'aj said, it depends what you are looking for, the good in it or the bad in it.

insurance! I pay $96.00 a month - and that's IF I can find

Didja notice how, right at the first of the year, there were a LOT!
of hospitals (The MAYO CLINIC! comes immediately to mind) that

accept Medicare?

The headlines today were about the insurace companies agreeing to
no longer refuse children with pre-exisitng condidions.
It's that big of them?

Now, let's see if we can get them to stop second-guessing
DOCTORS about whether -or not- a procedure is a needed treatment.
No one with a medical degree sit on those panels, ya know.

I base my thoughts on the facts. Some are good and some not so good.
One thing I am not very happy with is the chip.
One thing I like is the idea nobody goes without.
One thing I don't like is a penalty for not having insurance. Some people may not be able to pay.. that simple.... even if they are deemed a higher income level.
One thing I like is insurance can't rob you blind and then dump you.

Good and bad. I am looking at both because both will matter and affect people.

I think before we cut apart our government too much we are probably the most free country in the world. We have plenty of rights and the ability to express our opinions. Sometimes we get bad leaders but sometimes we bounce back and find a good one. When you look at all the other countries in the world, what country besides ours helps the poor, the homeless, the sick, all without asking for a dime in return. Look at countries in Africa, South America, you are on your own there. I just heard on CNN that China just killed thousands of what they call criminals who are just people sick of being opressed by their government, so they speak out and end up in prison, then later get executed. If your poor there you live on the street, the government is not going to help you find food , a shelter or a job like we do. I think we should look at the positive things about our country and preserve them instead of all this knit picking over a newly established law designed to help us. God Bless America.
