Well, newest visitors includes an unknown anonymous proxy.. six hours ago. lol Didn't know the flag counter would add something like that.
After that... we have 118 countries total that have viewed this site.
Some of those countries.. I either haven't ever heard of or don't remember. I'll be back.

Let's start with Australia...
Background
Aboriginal settlers arrived on the continent from Southeast Asia about 40,000 years before the first Europeans began exploration in the 17th century. No formal territorial claims were made until 1770, when Capt. James COOK took possession of the east coast in the name of Great Britain (all of Australia was claimed as British territory in 1829 with the creation of the colony of Western Australia). Six colonies were created in the late 18th and 19th centuries; they federated and became the Commonwealth of Australia in 1901. The new country took advantage of its natural resources to rapidly develop agricultural and manufacturing industries and to make a major contribution to the British effort in World Wars I and II. In recent decades, Australia has transformed itself into an internationally competitive, advanced market economy. It boasted one of the OECD's fastest growing economies during the 1990s, a performance due in large part to economic reforms adopted in the 1980s. Long-term concerns include ageing of the population, pressure on infrastructure, and environmental issues such as frequent droughts.

I find it interesting to pick one at a time and read about them. I can't remember which one I was looking at when I asked this question, but there really is a lot of interesting facts on that flag counter.

No clue where the information comes from. Here is just a part of what this one has..

ANGOLA POPULATION: 13,338,541

1 VISITOR FROM HERE!

« Previous Country | Next Country » Back to Flag Counter Overview
Background
Angola is rebuilding its country after the end of a 27-year civil war in 2002. Fighting between the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), led by Jose Eduardo DOS SANTOS, and the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA), led by Jonas SAVIMBI, followed independence from Portugal in 1975. Peace seemed imminent in 1992 when Angola held national elections, but fighting picked up again by 1996. Up to 1.5 million lives may have been lost - and 4 million people displaced - in the quarter century of fighting. SAVIMBI's death in 2002 ended UNITA's insurgency and strengthened the MPLA's hold on power. President DOS SANTOS held legislative elections in September 2008 and, despite promising to hold presidential elections in 2009, has since pushed through a new constitution that calls for elections in 2012.

I think the last line tells us something:

"MapLink, Tele Atlas"

Some kind of atlas service, maybe?
