Re: Roads, what's your favourite?
My favorite would be from my childhood... all gravel, very rural and trees (woods) on both sides. It was so beautiful and I loved walking there every day.
Kind of like this one...

Roxanna, your road, my road... either one looks good to me! They are both rural and more natural.
I just seem more at peace and able to think, when nature is around and not a bunch of man made homes and paved city streets.

Most nerve racking road i drove was The Road to Hana,on the Hawaiian Island Maui. Over 600 curves and i think around 100 one lane bridges.

Re: Roads, what's your favourite?
Trail Ridge Road.
It is the highest contiuous road in America. It begins outside Estes Park, Colorado and ends just before Grand Lake, Colorado.
There are 3 very large lakes on the Grand Lake side; Grand Lake,
Shadow Mountain Lake and Lake Grandby. I lived every summer
about 250 feet from Shadow Mountain Lake.
It is the most beautiful country I have ever seen and I've seen a lot of beautiful country all over the world. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] (Can you tell I'm from Colorado?)
Trail Ridge Road - 12183 Feet Above Sea Level ...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Hi, Roxanna ! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
It is kinda "breathtaking"...
(I dislike heights these days so I understand it now.)
My Dad was a Park Ranger there (Rocky Mountain National Park)
in the summers and the Rangers spent a considerable amount of
time rescuing motorists who lost their nerve!
As a kid I thought that was silly but I've been back there since
I've become much ! less fond of heights and now:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
