Breezey, did someone use up all the hot water again?

Hot water heater isn't lit again. Seems the little pilot light doesn't like being lit!!

Sounds like you might have a problem with your gas line. Air pockets in the line, perhaps.

It's the hot water heater. It's been like that since we moved in. Now, it just does it more often.

I hate cold showers unless it's July or August. When the pilot does not light, that means you are either out of gas, a restriction in the gas line or a burned out pilot. By law, they need to fix that. Tell that no good witch to fix it, or you will sue them . Cold water showers where you live can get all the kids sick. If you have a bathtub, I would boil water and fill it up, then take a hot bath. I hate baths but I hate a cold shower even more. You can call the gas company and ask them to check your pilot, they usually do that for free, for saftey. You could have a break in your gas line from the tank to the house, which could be really dangerous and with all your kids, it's very unsafe as it could blow up. Don't mess with gas, call the gas company, please. It could be your water heater also needs replacing. They only work for 6 yrs or so before you start having problems.

Even in the summer here -I prefer "tepid".
AND... if I'm going to take a cold shower...
