A non swiping site. I don't find that I can swipe anything anymore from another posting or even a pic off the computer, or is there a fancy way of doing that now,lol :?:

I right click on the picture, pick to "view the picture", then copy it and then.... go where you want to paste it, use image option and a code shows up... instead of the picture you copied. Try it.

Now, if you want to save it to your computer, I start the same but choose to "save as" and download it.

I don't have save the picture when I right click.I have save pic. as on my menu but thats all.I have copy but it won't copy and paste.

Works the same for me; right click on pic, choose copy image location, and paste in the image box.

I can copy but it won't paste into the image box, well, thats IE for ya. Its fine on video's but not pics. oh well, win some lose some.

turn the 'target' a different color); then right-click again for the menu -
and select 'copy'. Then, point cursor where you want to 'paste" it ;
right click; get menu , and select "paste".

I prefer to control it myself, thankyouverymuch.

It won't work on here my copy and paste. I dragged the mouse ovr the pic, hit copy came here hit paste and no paste . :comad: :comad: :comad:

Ron, for images, click on the image icon on here and paste it in there, then click on ok.

I tried but it won't paste. The paste option won't pop up like it did on the other site. I can't figure this one outunless I have something disconnected, but it worked on the other site yesterday.

There are several other ways to paste. The one I use is click where you want to paste it, then just hit the CTRL key at the same time you hit the V key.

For me, the picture doesn't show...even when I first try to paste. Firefox doesn't seem to work for copy and paste. When I used IE, only certain ones copied and pasted.

Firefox works fine for copying and pasting for me. What method are you trying to use?

I don't know what the problem is.It worked again for me, copying the pic I posted earlier and pasting it using the image icon.

Tater, I can do it with a link too. I'm trying to figure out why some will just paste right into the post.. with IE... and why some don't and why Firefox won't just paste right into the post at all.

It IS useful to know someone else using the same browser CAN paste a picture straight into the post box without a link being needed. It just makes me wonder why Firefox acts so differently for people.

I think it's the interaction with the browser - any browser -
and the individual computer. Computers ar ALL quirky.
And I think they do it it -on purpose- make us nuts.

What I don't understand is why did it work so well on the old site but not on this site. I have a wireless mouse maybe the battery is getting weak, or maybe it's windows Vista. what is the difference between copy and cut??

Breezey if it helps for me to clarify, I am not pasting pics directly into the post box, I am pasting them into the image link thingie which is the 7th icon from the right, above the post box.

Same difference Ron. Cut/paste and copy/paste are just two ways of saying it.

My guess would be -COMPLETELY different "programs" in use on each site.

Yup - big difference - "cut" will delete what you've "copied"- "copy"
will 'photograph' it for reposting in another location.

I can deal with copy and image link. Now... I am wondering if it has something to do with the fact there is no storage space taking up space on this site. It is all hosted off site and posting is unlimited. As far as I can tell, I never have to pay for more space.

Ron, different sites are set up differently and use different things. On Yahoo you can't do most of the things we do here.
We just need to learn how things work and I really don't have a problem with using a link to post a picture. I am just the type of person who has to try to get around everything. lmao!
