Someone starts a thread and before you know it, the subject takes a nose-dive, completely off-course. Then it turns into a conversation between two or more members about something else entirely. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to respond here with an entirely different subject. You can talk about your cucumber garden, your pet hyena, the weather, what's on TV, likes-dislikes, etc. Better yet, have a conversation with one or more of the other members about things you want to talk about which have nothing to do with the original post. You can rest assured that it will be read. Remember, the one who changes the subject the furthest WINS.

That's not where I'm coming from. To me, someone who is closed minded is a person who is not even willing to listen to or try to understand an opposing point of view. If you don't agree with them, that's not close minded, that's just disagreeing with their point of view.

Once you click on posting a reply, just scroll down a little past the reply box... options... you can even modify the title, which is listed there. lol Stay Off-Topic Thread.

Under that is the topic review, which shows the last 5 replies, but it doesn't show the name of the topic.

Breezey, we don't have the option to "Modify topic title ". Maybe that's only available to moderators?

Not sure why nobody else can modify... maybe it would make too much of a mess... especially with sites that have a lot more members?

Breezey, I don't remember seeing the "Quick reply" option recently (it was available a while ago), but as I type in the quick reply box, I CAN scroll up and see the topic on the previous replies. So maybe that's a viable option. Is that what you tried? Did you just add that option back?

I added quick reply back and made a few other changes. Nothing too major. You can now "quick reply" or just click on "Post reply".

The quick reply box works great for those of us (Lorry and I) with short term memory loss, and forget what category we are in 10 seconds after we clicked on reply. As you type in the quick reply box, you remain on the topic page, so all you have to do is scroll up to see the category, without losing what you already typed.

Not the same thing. Honest! It seems this candy is only made at certain times of the year because it won't fair well all the time. (our candy store only sells it around Christmas time)

Maybe, at home, small batches to be used fast would do better.... hmmm...

I have no idea what is good for a diabetic... seems to me SOME sugar intake is still part of life? I would ask your doctor, Lorry.
