Some people's homes have a lot of interesting history... what they started out as, what was built on, etc..

Tater, is this what you mean?
A speakeasy, also called a blind pig or blind tiger, is an establishment that illegally sells alcoholic beverages. Such establishments came into prominence in the United States during the period known as Prohibition (1920–1933, longer in some states). During this time, the sale, manufacture, and transportation (bootlegging) of alcoholic beverages was illegal throughout the United States.

Yes Breezey, that's exactly what I mean. It was a house at the end of a dead end street, surrounded by woods on three sides in a small town in coal country in upstate PA.
Tater, other than rumors, is there a way to find out the history of a house?
You could search for deed records for prior owners and such, but something like a speakeasy would be hard to track due to it's illegal and clandestine status. It's not something that the owner would want published!
