I use math all the time. Like at the grocery store yesterday, adding the prices up in my head as I shop, to make sure I didn't spend too much, and figuring out that if an item is 3 for $5.00, one of them costs 1.67!

Mostly math because I use it everyday. Science, to an extent, History, a little,Of course English class, spanish class came in handy, phys. ed, and I took a special english class in 11th grade they really taught comprehension and speed reading. I liked that class.

Okay guys... what about more advanced stuff that everyone wants to know why they need to learn it? Algebra, geometry, biology, etc..

I never use algebra but loved the class, Geometry I hated that class but it does come in handy if you are a builder. Biology I hated it. How boring talking about parameciums. My college teacher talked like Elmer Fudd, I could not understand a word of what he was teaching. More kids flunked his class, than passed. He was such a jerk. American Lit, never use it, psychology, love it and use it.I wanted to learn more about cars, building homes, fixing things, but no, we learned things that never were very useful. I took a business class, hated that, it was boring. A survival class would have been better, a martial art class would have really got me going, accupressure, a class on healing herbs, would have been great, even a stretching class would have been more beneficial.

I use geometry to remember that pi are square...and to figure out the square inches on a pizza, like which is a better bargain, two 12 inch pizzas or one 16 inch for the same price.

Ummm Tater? Wouldn't the two 12 inch ones be a better deal? I don't know about pi and square inches, but 24 just sounds like more than 16.... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I agree. All those theorms we had to learn in geometry, what a waste of time.

Yes Breezey, but not by much. A 12 inch pizza is 113 square inches, and a 16 inch pizza is 200 square inches. Okay, Miss smartypants, which is larger, two 10 inch pizzas or one 16 inch? 20 sounds like more than 16...

26 square inches more, now how many pieces is 26 square inches. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Depends on the size of the slices, Ron! Some people cut a pie into six slices, because they aren't hungry enough to eat 8 of them!

Mr. Tater, I think they're going to be very close to the same and I won't be worrying about the better deal... just which one sounds better or has what I want on it. lol

The 16 inch pizza is 44 square inches larger than the two 10 inch pizzas.
They both come with whatever you want on them.
