Mind you, I don't need an air mattress (although that would be nice), but my head is too hard to rest on solid ground, know what I mean?

I am not camping without a mattress.. and my pillow.. and my blankies.. and my torch.. etc etc etc.. Not to mention the marshmallows.. lol

If you're going to bring marshmallows, you might as well bring Hersey's chocolate bars and graham crackers too, so you can make some more s'mores by the campfire!

We don't have Hersey's chocolate here or graham crackers.. that means you will all have to come camping and bring them with you (-:

No graham crackers? What do you use for the crust when you make cheesecake?

I have never made cheesecake Tater, so i can't answer that one.
Breezey may know? She is a good cook.

Most people here use a graham cracker crumb crust for homemade cheesecake.

I make home made chocolate and graham crackers. lol
They are not exactly like store bought, but everyone likes them... and it's good they aren't like the store bought... don't you think?

Homemade Marshmallows Recipe:

Ingredients:
3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1.5 cups sugar
3/4 cup light corn syrup
2 tbsp good-quality honey
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
confectioner's sugar, for dusting

Directions:
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, combine the gelatin with 1/2 cup of cold water. Let that stand while you prep the syrup.

In a saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, honey, salt, and 1/2 cup of water over medium heat. Do not stir, it will dissolve on its own. Cook for a few minutes until the sugar dissolves, then turn the heat to high. The mixture should be clear now. Cook the mixture to 240 degrees F on a thermometer. Take it off the heat.

With the mixer running on low, slowly pour in the syrup. Turn the mixer to high and whip for 13 minutes, then add the vanilla. Whip for another minute.

Line a 9x13 pan with parchment, and sprinkle it generously with confectioner's sugar. Spread the marshmallow mixture out evenly, using wet fingers to push it out. Sprinkle the top with more confectioner's sugar, then let the marshmallows sit uncovered for at least 8 hours, but preferably overnight.

Cut the marshmallows into squares, and enjoy!

I volunteered at a botanical garden for several years, and also worked at a nursery and greenhouse, so I must have learned a few things while I was there, don't ya think?

Tater, are you having any problems with getting to topics or even getting this site to load today?( Seems to be an issues on many of the forums right now.)

Earlier today, yes; it was taking a very long time to load and to respond when I tried to answer a question. Now, it seems to be working fine.
