can you trust ANYBODY these days ?

it seems an unsafe world we live in and we can't really trust anybody to not harm us in some way or another ...or can we ???

Trust has to be well placed, but yes... there are people I trust.

Harm us... physically, mentally, emotionally? Sometimes, the ones we trust and love will hurt us, but not intentionally or just to be mean. Others...

Roxanna, I still believe in the good, trust and counting on certain people. Not everybody is uncaring, selfish or working on just their own agendas.

There are people I trust. Some more than others. Some I trust without worry, some I trust only to a certain extent.

on a personal level i agree with you breezey.
on a world wide level we trust hundreds,if not thousands of people every day. every bit of food you buy in the supermarket, every time you eat out, countless people contributed to your final product.on farms,in factories,kitchens ... the list goes on...be it food,clothing, transport, we rely on others to do the right thing, and they DO,usually .

Now I understand.
World wide... I trust a lot less people. Many are motivated by greed, many aren't motivated at all and doing the right thing isn't always what people choose to do.

From picking up food off the floor and STILL giving it to a customer, to cheating people out of their money, there are many in betweens that are not trust worthy.
Scams, murders and rapes, lies, abusing positions of power... the list goes on.

I really don't trust that many are going to do the right thing in this world since it is proven many don't.
The world and news are full of people who do wrong. It's not so good to just trust strangers to do right and rely on them to have a care about you.
From early child hood on up, I have learned many people don't and won't do the right thing.
There are still plenty of good people too, but they're not as easy to find as the ones who don't care about others and just do what they feel like doing.

all the mistrust you mention is true, we hear,and have experienced, much of it ourselves.but we do not hear much about good things and people in the media.except for the obligatory heart warming story now and then, good does not sell .eg,for every terrorist that struck, countless millions of people did not .i still think there are more good people than bad in the world.

Roxanna, more good people... yes there is. As for good not selling.. did you ever wonder why the bad is glorified so much? Once upon a time, good was glorified and people went with it. A change happened and bad became the big seller.

I think no matter what, we will find good and bad in any type of business and there are many who still believe in doing things right. I sometimes forget that when I hear about all the crap companies will do to make a buck.
