what sort of child were you ?
some times i think it's a miracle i'm still in one piece and alive.
i was adventuresome and curious about everything.and also liked playing with dolls and mud pies.got many a spanking, but only because some bright idea didn't work out.

Re: what sort of child were you ?
I had two brothers still at home when I was old enough to really DO things. Never really thought up a lot to do... just followed along with whatever my brothers decided to do. So... I learned to ride cows, catch small fish by the barn pump, swing on ropes in the hay mow, use a huge freezer door for sledding, etc...
I never really got into too much trouble, because my mom always reasoned out that the oldest brother was the blame because he knew better and should set a better example.
According to my sister, I never owned any dolls, but would borrow her Barbies while she was gone. She said I always returned them right where they belonged and took good care of them.

I once swallowed a marble when I was about 5 years old, because my older brother said you could make it come out of your ear. Sure proved him wrong! My mother was worried, but our family doctor said it would probably come out in the end, and he was right.

Re: what sort of child were you ?
I was adventurous. I followed my little girlfriends out on this country road I must have been 4 or 5 and they got us lost. My Mom ws scared half to death but we knocked on a door and they called my Mom who cme and got us. When I was 8 or 9, my middle brother shot me with a bb gun, I pretended I was dying, boy did he ever flip out. He thought he might have killed me. I was a good actor, I fell on the floor and played the role perfectly then started laughing. I used to ride my bike to grade school in spring and I ran a stop sign and almost got hammered by this truck, oh it was close, never did that again. I was in cub scouts, I was very active, I skated, skiied, I almost drowned because I fell out of this small boat but they got me in time. After that came swim lessons, thanks Mom. We had fun as kids growing up. We used to play Indians, had a teepee, I loved that. Just a somewhat normal childhood [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Hey Roxy, I loved making mud pies, but they never tasted very good, lol.

Re: what sort of child were you ?
Well ... I was a "perfect child" of course! ...
Now that you have all stopped ROTFL ... I'll tell you the truth:
I was a very well-behaved, painfully shy, but happy kid.
The oldest of five brothers ... I had to learn how to share!
I was as innocent as innocent could be.
I sometimes think I had a rather "Leave It To Beaver" childhood.
(Lucky me!) And I know what you are thinking:
"What happened? .. .. Where did it all go wrong???"
