It seems members have to scroll to see the whole Yafooey page and read posts. If anyone has this problem, I would appreciate being told.
Any other things that seem to be a problem... please do let me know. I can't fix what I don't know isn't right.
Every computer is different and browsers will make a difference too... so, I may not always see what others are seeing.
I would prefer we keep this to major things like page not all showing, hard time posting, postings being cut off, etc...
Thank you,
Breezey

Soon, I won't be on here much and would like to at least have people say they can see the whole page, without having to scroll. I won't be trying to fix anything in the next couple of weeks and want to know the important things are done.

Okay, [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
(BTW... -the "blue square *poofed* when it posted)
"Adventures in learning the quirks of a new site!"

Re: scrolling - it's the same for me. (not better, not worse)
I have about 3 inches of "scroll the the right" to see the post and the smileys.
I also have to scroll to see the object of my interest... "it" doesn't "center"
things (for me). And I can't "adjust" my screen - it is impervious to any!
efforts I've made.
I CAN NOT! shut off the busy-busy-busy! here. It is impervious to my efforts
there too - any and all. I've never had THAT problem before. (?)
IE: -In order to use a site with all the bells and whistles going on here,
I need to disable my flash stuff (Active X)
I have done that; AND I've gone to each individual item and right-clicked
to pull up Active X options and clicked on "stop" ; "all"; - and any thing
else it offers... with no luck. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
It's no big deal - (and I love! all the "stuff" here)...
but Ol' Molasses does not.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I've even gone into IE and disabled this stuff there too - on the off-chance (since it's Microsoft) that maaaaybe IE was also controlling some of what
Firefox does or is unable to do...
Nope. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
That's all that comes immediately to mind...
I'll let you know when other things come to mind...
I'll bet you're sooo glad you asked... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

" [I] want to know the important things are done."

Okay.. well "important" is going to vary... for instance;
the"scroll" isn't a big deal, at all, to me.

Ja'aj, what smiley did you want added? If it's bigger, that might be why I didn't use it. I am trying to find smaller ones and eliminate the ones that take more space.

If people aren't seeing a change in size and still have to scroll, I am at a loss. I've changed sizes of sidebar, spaces between columns, "supposed" forum width and whatever else I can think of.

A different idea here... has anyone tried the "zoom" feature that is on the browser? Seems many people have the problem of having to scroll and that is one thing that helps.
I am still working on other reasons... just thought this might help?

Breezey, I saw something last night that mentioned it could have to do with the code?

And just to let you know, zoom did work, but I'll have to see how it affects other sites.

Tater, a big problem here is I don't set up my site totally from scratch. The main things are already here... forum size and such. I am looking at codes, but don't think it's a good idea to screw around with code that was made, before I made this site.
I am going to remove all coding I put in. Want to see if it makes a difference at all. If it does, I will know I can change my coding. If it doesn't, I have no idea what options will be left.

I don't see a difference at all. Just an ugly color for background now. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Ja'aj, if you are using Firefox, you might want to try going up top and clicking on view, then zoom, then zoom out. If it works but doesn't zoom out enough, you can do it again til it zooms out enough to fit the whole page on your screen. The text will get a little smaller each time you do it, but if you zoom out too much you can always zoom back in, and it doesn't seem to affect other sites, only the one you are on when you zoom. I only had to zoom out once and now it fits the page just right.
