Do you expect it to be about being homeless?

I do, but it never is... last three times... a mother with kids wanting money for food and rent, but she's there daily, holding her sign.
A man claiming to be an unemployed veteran and another man with a gas can at his feet, claiming to need gas.
All three come daily to certain areas... and yet, there are places posting ads all over for hiring. The woman actually stands next to a sign with the words "hiring now" and a company name/phone number.

We don't see that here. You do see people busking to earn a bit of money, but that's about it.

I guess it just really bothers me... people just standing there with signs.. waiting for others to give them money.
It was pointed out that there are places here who pay people to just stand there and hold signs for their businesses....
Why would anyone rather beg for money... to me, that would make me feel really small and low in heart.

I suppose you have to wonder how those people feel in their heart, doing just that. Begging for money... there is always a reason why.. we just don't always know what the reasons are behind why they do so. Are they at a point that they do feel so low in heart and really small.. or are they just too lazy to work otherwise? I guess you would need to talk to the individual to really know.
