Have you thought what your own retirement will be like?

I actually thought I'd retire by now

and was real close to

But a divorce followed by an accident.....
5 or 6 years ago that
took the use of my right arm for 2 years
and I still found some work when my arm wasn't working 100%

Still

Sort of hurt my savings

I guess I will keep working awhile

Unless I get some magic break in a pursuit of mine

"If you want to hear God laugh...tell him your plans"

Fishing and traveling......or fishing and gardening would be how I spend the hours I used to work
or maybe volunteer to tutor again.....or start a local open mic/jam

I begin to think retirement will be something you only hear of as history and not done anymore.
They keep raising the age to retire and I wonder if there will be any money for people to count on for retiring.
People who actually retired say they had to go back to work because they couldn't afford to retire.  I also know some people retire and stay retired, but not many compared to those who can't.
I often wonder if I'll ever be able to retire... as everyone else sees it.
Fishing and gardening... would be great ways to spend time. I'd probably bake and cook too. lol Go for walks, bike ride, visit nature more...

Retirement... any thoughts on that? Empty Re: Retirement... any thoughts on that?

I couldn't go back to work. It seems that there is always a mountain of things to do and Im enjoying myself far too much.

I had all sorts of vaugue plans of what I was going to do, pipedreams! They've all dropped off the bottom of my priority list. Life has taken over and my days are full!

The garden looks a lot better than it did when I was working, the shed roof is fixed, the holiday calendar is full to overflowing and the wine cellar is stocked with things to try. I still have the garage to clear of 60 years worth of accumulated junk, and the house to decorate (something I keep putting off). All in all I have enough to keep me occupied until Im about 130, which coincidentally is how long Ill have to live to get my money back from the pension company.

I have developed unforseen interests like philosophy and poetry which make me THINK. Fighting technology also seems to occupy my time, now where did I put that charger?
