Hmmmm..ya got me thinking...

and I think being wanted would be better.
being needed depends on how and by whom,in the case of your children needing you ,ok, you would expect that and gladly br there group hug

.but being 'needed' by a needy person ,could be problematic. huggies

I think you are right, Roxanna. To be needed is great, in some situations.. but to be wanted means you are chosen to be around...not just to fulfill a job or requirement someone else has.
As for children, need might be a big part, but I think wanting us around is also another big part. Is that twice as good? lol

You need to knead the dough before you can make bread, but you need flour before your dough needs to be kneaded.

I agree. Point: one can be a needed employee ... needed, to work like a slave and make money for a big company ... but ... if you think they really want or actually value that ... boy, are you in for a big surprise. To many large operations, you are completely expendable. They only want you as long as you "toe the company line." Failure to do so will result in you no longer being needed.

Yup! Most companies seem to be at great pains to make
sure their employees undertand that we all can - and will be -
replaced. I dunno why they do that - (emphasize it) -

would not know that.
