I have seen quite a few while I'm driving, as well as when I lived in Florida, since it's a vacation destination.

I think the state with the goofiest slogan on their plates is Oklahoma. Their motto is:

Oklahoma is OK

thinking Is that the best they could come up with?
It's not great, or spectacular, or fabulous, it's just ok.

Actually, it's kind of funny since it's the abbreviation for that state. lol

Ours in Ohio aren't to great. I noticed some from Indiana has In God we Trust on them. Wonder how they get away with that with all the other things that we are made to stop because a few don't like it? Have seen a few From Alaska and even one from Hawaii, here in Ohio.

Sneaks,
OUR MONEY! says "In God We Trust".
I don't think it is that people object to so much as the
(realativly) few (?) who try to tell everyone else WHICH God.
Makes no sense to me; this country was founded for religious freedom
among other things.
SOME PEOPLE... (always the least-qualifed) seem to think (?)
they have all the answers - for everyone ELSE...
Usually their ilk have none.

~ ~ ~

Sure! I live in Arizona; "Land of" and "Mecca for" TOURISTS! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I used to see a lot more out-of-state plates...
(the anomaly was AZ plates!)
I didn't notice "In God..." on Lousiana plates; I did notice the PELICAN!
CUTE ! little fella.
But now a lot ! our winter visitors license their cars, RVs etc. here.
Mostly, All our license plates seem to have been more interesting in the past.
Now they are mostly boooring...

I always thought everyone had to have two plates.
If they are like me, it just takes them a year or two to put the front plate on! lol

I actually got stopped by an officer and told to put my front plate on. That was after a year of not having it on. lol
Wonder if those two states, the police can only read from the rear? Cool

Michigan only has a rear plate. Ohio talked about it as it was to save money, but the State Police said they wanted both to make it easier to identify vehicles from the front also in case of a chase or watching for one coming toward them.

PA only has one, as does MD and Delaware. NJ has two, in case someone is running from the cops in reverse. But let me just say this: if a car is coming towards me at a high rate of speed, I am getting the hell out of his way, NOT writing down his license plate number.

By the way, that thing about saving money? Umm, they cost about a quarter to make. And most states generally charge at least $35 per year for registration, even though you only get new tags once every 5 or 10 years or so...

I always wondered, when you watch a movie and the police are setting and a car zooms by ,then the camera zooms in on the plate and the chase is on. Makes you wonder if this can really happen in real life. Car 5 Where are you?

Yeah, I know they charge a lot; I was talking about the cost of making the plates (or the sticker), not the fee.

So how's the recall going for the guv?

I hear that California charges a LOY for car license. Charge by the value of the vehicle,or used to do it that way.
