either, I believe in sharing and recycling ,so long as the article is returned at an agreed upon time.

You are brave, Roxanna! lol What happens when the borrowed item is lost, stolen or just ruined? I would rather lend , but it gets hellish sometimes!

Breeze, no probs as yet,my neighbour and I kept borrowing a garden hoe to and fro..to and fro each other,eventually we forgot whom it belonged to in the first place !!

Well i lent a "friend a total of $100.00 about 5 months ago and haven't seen the money back yet,and my stepson $325.00 4 months ago & nothing back yet,which dumb ass me , isn't the 1st time this has happened. 52 years ago i borrowed $20.00 from my dad & it was paid back in 2 days ,and 6 months ago i borrowed $6,ooo.oo from mom & paid it back in 2 months. I don't like doing either but would lend again if badly needed.

Sneaky, long ago I learned three things:
1) Never lend money to anybody unless you can spare it.
2) Assume you won't get it back.
3) A hundred dollars is a small price to pay to be rid of someone who is not trustworthy. (Chances are you will not see your "friend" again for a long, long time!)

My experience has been totally different ,a few of my friends and I,many years ago when we were on supporting parents pensions, often loaned each other small amounts of money,$10--$20..we always paid back when the next payment came in.
