What do you know about stereoview cards?
This is what I have learned, so far....
Stereoview Cards became popular in the early 1900's. It was an early attempt to create 3-dimensional photographs. A stereoscope viewer was used to view two side-by-side photos mounted on a card. Viewing an image in this fashion gave the illusion of depth.

When i was in grade school we had one in a glass show case and a lot of other old things and a few times a teacher would get it out and let us look at the pictures.This was around 1951-1953.

Hmmm... I never knew they existed, until a few days ago. I find them interesting. Seems 3D has been around longer than I would have imagined.

I haven't actually gotten to use any of those cards or the viewer. I saw someone advertising some they had for sale and it interested me... so, I looked them up and was surprised.
