Washing your car

Do you wash your car at home or use a car wash? If you use a car wash, what do you pay to have done... just a wash, wash and dry, wax, etc... ?

I generally wash the car at home, but on the rare occasion that I go to a car wash, I just get the basic wash. Those extras aren't usually worth it. Think about it, if they want extra for a "super wash", what the heck is a regular wash, do they just get it halfway clean?

I think the last time I used a car wash was at least ten years ago. My daughter wants to take my car to one, but she does the manual one where she does most of the work. She says it's fun! lol

Well if it's fun for her, let her enjoy herself!

She can do mine next,lol. I always wash my Jeep myself but yesterday I took it to the auto car wash it costs 15 dollars, and it never gets all the dirt off. Over here we have whats called RED dirt. It's everywhere. Well without a garage my black top, it's a soft top gets full of red dirt and the hose does nothing to take the dirt off so I tried the auto car wash and it worked better than a hose, but that is the last time I take it there. Living on an Island we deal with so much salt in the air you got to wash the car every week just to get the salt off and keep it waxed or the paint will oxidize, and the car will look dull. It's really a pain. I want a garage,lol.

I just might have to take her up on that. Let's see, it's a right turn at Chicago from here, right?

Does she want to fly to Maui to wash it??? She can stay upstairs in our friends unit for free.
