There is this one thing I find particularly irksome...
It's this suddenly prevalent use of pepper spray is beginning to
piss me off. It is assault , dammit ! and every Pete, Frieda and

who are merely hapless enough to be present when this bozo loses
his or her patience!
While I'm somewhat happier about it's use than a .45 ... it is still

I don't understand why anyone feels it's okay to attack another person ...
(?) to say nothing of the loon ! who tuned herself in for spraying about TWENTY PEOPLE waiting in line for some Mickey-Mouse something-or-other!

like they do at concerts for lighters and hair spray ! or I'm going

It is insane. Fortunately, I don't have little persons at home any
longer all agog because, "IT'S CHRISTMAS !!"

And - do you remember (I do) when that was accompanied by
the wish for :
"PEACE ON EARTH ; GOODWILL TOWARD MEN" ?

Must have really got "caught up in the game" Just like road rage,or sports parents,etc. If used for protection it is one thing,but deliberate use,that is another thing. LIke guns,2 1/2 million times a year a gun is used for self defence and you hardly hear about it, but if one person gets killed by crime,it is all over the news and then they want to ban guns completely.

That whole mess wasn't about Christmas or Christmas shopping. That was greed and nothing more!
People forget Christmas wasn't supposed to mean shopping til you're broke and killing each other to get a "deal". People were even fighting over items that are normally only $15!

That is why i only went two times in my life. You can do just about as good doing it online,which i have done for a couple of years and avoided the CROWDS.

Just one MORE reason to boycott Walmart, in my opinion.
Has anyone else noticed that the MAJORITY of these types of incidents have occurred at Wallyworld? The stampede that trampled somebody to death a couple of years ago, and at least half a dozen episodes this year...

Tater... blaming Walmart for people acting like a mob of animals isn't going to change how Black Friday is. If it weren't Walmart, it would be some other store. It's mob mentality.
I think doing away with Black Friday and stupid things that bring out people in mobs should be what's done away with.

You're absolutely right, Breezey, if it weren't for Walmart's policies, lack of adequate staffing and security, and the fact that a big part of their game plan is to open stores in smaller, semi-rural communities where they can quickly low ball all of the local mom-and pops that had been the backbone of these towns for decades, until they are forced out of business, then jack up their prices once they are the only game in town, maybe the shoppers wouldn't have such a dog-eat dog, each man for himself kind of mentality. And maybe it would be some other store. But it's not, because there is no other business in town. No other place to shop, and no other place to work. At minimum wage, with few or no benefits.

Just maybe.
