Eating seems better to me than setting in front of the boob tube all day watching grown men chase a pig skin all over a field with lines drawn on it. ( not a sports fan)

Watching the parades! And getting to see certain family members who you rarely see, some of whom by their words and/or actions, jar your memory of WHY you are glad you only see them for an hour or two each year!

For one thing we have no TV in our home. Only time we have a family gettogether is at Christmas and the Family reunion. I don't like being penned up in a building with 30+ people trying to talk at the same time,as it makes my head rattle. Thanksgiving it was just my mom & my wife & me. Nice and peaceful!

Well.. past the negatives... it's a great time to play family games, give out hugs and "I love you's" to those we care about. The food seems to have become the main draw.. and it's so much food! Too much food! I don't have a crowd of neighbors to feed.
