regard for someone or something."

Um... 'consideraton' -to me- is treating everyone
(animals included) as I want to be treated ; respectfully,
with courtesy and kindness.
It begins with any approach to another living thing; extending
their person and to the things that belong to them.

It extends to anything and anyone not me or mine.

It 'ends' when someone is blantantly inconsiderate
of me and/or those I care about; without adequate
explanation or reason.

Once again, Ja'aj is dead on. I was gonna say it's kind of the same as respect. My ex-boss demanded the utmost respect, but gave absolutely none in return. That doesn't work, at least not for very long. It's a two-way street, and if you try to make it into a one-way, you could end up on a dead-end, having to back out onto a busy highway during rush hour.

Well, it seems respect and consideration need to be thought out a little better... maybe thinking about who all will be recipients of that respect and consideration... or lack of it.
