Have you tried a restaurant you don't normally go to?
Seems there are so many restaurants around here and new ones are constantly showing up! Do you ever try the food at a restaurant you don't normally go to?

I try to keep it varied when I eat out, and I am almost always open to trying new food. Jack, most Chinese restaurants here are quite a bit "Americanized", as they've found that most of us don't care much for things like fish guts and such!

I know! The waitress kept asking me if I would like some "duck's feet" ... and I thought I was just having difficulty understanding her ... but she REALLY was saying "duck's feet!" I have never forgotten that. Later, I laughed and laughed.

Some details I could do without, Jack! lol
I wish when new restaurants arrived, they'd have something more than the normal burgers and such.

We have so many restaurants, everything from Chinese, Japanse, Filipino, Hawaiian, American, Thai, noodles, Italian, Mexican, French, no they closed, you can get almost anything. Everything from sushi, to steak, fish, lobster, and all the rest. I go to this one Chinese place but I like hot sour soup, egg rolls, vegetarian, pot stickers, honey walnut shrimp, kung pao chicken, and egg plant sasechuan, but that eggplant dish was the best in Ca. where I lived. The owners were Chinese ,they had it all, but no ducks feet thank you and a bottle of Tsiangtao beer and of course rice. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I am hungry now.
Ron, there are a lot of restaurants here, but I haven't tried many at all. Seems that as soon as I notice one, ten more pop up. I guess I am not much for all the restaurants that deal in the same things.. burgers, tacos, etc.. I am more for a real meal... steak and mashed potatoes, orange chicken with rice, etc..
I might get brave and try something out of the ordinary.. one of these days.

i like to try new restaurants and food , the most unusual food was crocodile in a chinese restaurant ,my friend i virtually dared each other to try it .tastes like chicken.
I have tried octopus at a Japanese restaurant. I actually liked it! lol

Let's see; I've eaten at Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Burmese, Thai, and Japanese restaurants, and have had Indian cuisine, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Greek, Italian, German, French, Eastern European, Moroccan, Norwegian, British, Mexican (authentic, not just Tex-Mex), Jamaican, Cajun, Southern, and soul food. I have eaten at Restaurants on the west and east coasts, in California, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri, Canada (Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec), Germany, and Jamaica. I don't think there's too many restaurants I wouldn't normally try!
