Personally, I think he shouldn't have resigned - not for this reason anyway...
(I KNOW! it's mean spirited of me) - [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
but I am so tired! of listening to the moral morons who think
they know how everyone (else) should live... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I would not pass on this one :

New York Congressman Resigns After Internet Postings

Representative Chris Lee of New York, caught in the
midst of

Ummm... First of all he's not just shirtless in that photo; look closely and you can see that he is, well,... kind of busy. Mr. Johnson and his two pals are actually hanging out as well.

Second, as a U.S. Representative, he lied about both his age and marital status. If I'm not mistaken, as a Congressman, misrepresenting yourself to another citizen is a federal offense. Yeah, I think resigning was one of the smartest things he's done in the whole situation.

Okay... I'm a little lost here. I see the pictures and what "could" be misconstrued as not very nice, but the guy has his pants on and a belt buckled too.
As for him resigning... I think there may be more to the story than is actually being told. Once a Craigslist cheater, maybe not the first time? Who knows? Evidently it isn't public and he may prefer to keep it that way.
I just hope his wife kicks his @ss.

Hi ! Both of you!
Tater, AHA! "more" appears to be correct!
Bree, that's what I thought when the story (photos?) first "broke"... I'm not very interested in "gossip" -
(WHAT is a "Craigslist cheater"?)
but I am interested in Politics -
and Tater's list of "items"/(transgressions?)
makes a lot more sense to resign for that the one "belt- buckled" pic I saw.
Frankly my concern for a Politician has a lot less to do with his/her private life (barring crimes!) and much more to do with competency and agreeing with my goals.
It just makes me furious! when the GOP waves their banner of "HOLIER THAN THOU!" and I do
sooo enjoy it! when they make fools of themselves.
Everyone -regardless of "party affiliation" - has stuff they would much rather not be made public.

Tater [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.],
I'm sure you are correct - [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] - but does that law not mean "in performance of duties as..."? Surely he didn't lie under oath?
I say cautiously - in light of the guy who ran for local office -
(in California, I "think") - and blatantly and provably LIED about just-about everything!
and when ?someone? tried to sue the court upheld his right to do so ! under the "Freedom of Speech" Amendment [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The Court's 'reasoning' was that the people have a responsibility to check out the candidates...

I personally OBJECT! to the semi-newish "okay" for COPS to lie!
to citizens... the "unless specifically ASKED 'are you a cop' " notwithstanding .

Lying and taking an Oath of Office as a United States Representative, Senator, etc. certainly ought to carry penalties.

AND [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] under the heading of
"MORE GOOD NEWS FOR ARIZONA"
U.S. Senator John Kyl will not -repeat NOT- seek re-election!
Now, if Brewer would retire, quit, move to France
(I'm sure the French have that coming somehow) or ANYthing
Arizona will be on a roll!
