does anybody use a pie maker ? you know, those little thingos that make two pies at a time ?
i bought one recently and made 2 apple pies, i used frozen pastry and tined pie apple,switched on the pie maker, and in no time ...trara..2 aple pies.
any ideas for something different ?
i'm wondering breezey if cottage pie would work .

yes, that's it breezey, you can make quiche in em too ,will try that .
had to laugh when i told my friend i made the pies,
maybe assembled them ?i mean my mother would have made: the pastry from scratch,peeled cored sliced the apples, heated the oven ,kept an eye on the baking proccess .....from whoa to go, maybe a couple of hours ? this takes about 15-20 minutes .the difference is in quality and taste ,i like to eat apple pie the traditional way, cook the fast way !!

I will sometimes use a premade crust and filling, but really prefer one like your mom makes.

I have never used a pie maker and doubt I would. I really don't like a ton of extra gadgets that sit around when one thing will do many.
I am even getting rid of the cappuccino maker and the cute coffee grinder is now going up for looks only. lol

I gave this some thought and figure my daughter would use a pie maker like the one you are talking about. She is always looking for easier and faster ways to do things.
