That's a good question, isn't it? I'm not sure there's that much of a difference except for the name; our president functions as the chief executive; isn't that basically the same as your prime minister's job?

Malcolm Turnbull who is leader of the Liberals and Bill Shorten is the leader of the Labour party. They are the main two contenders.
I heard on the news today that Trump's not as popular and that his chances are diminishing.

Donald trump seems to be having trouble raising funds. Doesn't that seem ironic for somebody who has spent the last year bragging about how rich he is, and how great it is that he's self-funded?

Malcolm Turnbull is our current PM, yes. This election will see whether he will remain PM for the next 3 years or not. He took over from Tony Abbot who was nothing but blundering idiot.

Liberal and Labour are the 2 main parties.. and then you have a plethora of other/smaller/insignificant parties.. for example.. the greens, the sex party, the car enthusiasts, the pirate party would you believe... the last never get many votes at all... and God help us if they ever got into power.

Nothing wrong with equal rights.. They are just not big enough to get into power.. I should have said above that many of the smaller parties are a joke. There are a few good ones... The sex party is one of them.
