It sounds to me that not only has Monsanto been responsible through their products (primarily Roundup, but also through genetically modified seed) for the serious decline of the honey bee population, but that they are also trying to corner the honey market.

Roxy, long answer too long to type before I need to go to bed. Short answer: Don't eat any corn that is not certified organic. Or Soybeans. Also, don't use Roundup. I'm convinced that it isn't much different from one of their other famous products: Agent Orange.

Oh, and to try to answer the rest of your question, they paid off judges and bought politicians, used lobbyists, and have many friends in high places, including former CEO's in Judicial, Regulatory, and Cabinet positions.
