It is truly an excellent film.

It deserved Best Picture, Best Director (yay)
and
whatever else it may have taken at the Academy Awards.

(I didn't watch them)

I watched ' Hurt Locker' the first time sort of holding my breath
and peeking through my fingers... (I hate! gore) and it has a
good story - so I cared about these guys.

The second time I just WATCHED it - (there is no gore! yay)

It is a fascinating and truly sad look at how and what the men
and women of the military -anyone's- are doing in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.

Have not seen it. They were discussing it yesterday, on "talk radio" here. Sounds interesting and somewhat controversial. Since YOU recommend it ... I will definitely check it out.

I won't watch WWII films about fighting in the South Pacific;Viet Nam;

BUT..
(Tithe will REALLY LIKE IT, I think) this is RIVETING! and current.

It is a good story; it moves right along; there's absolutley no!
gratuitous nuthin'!; (Yay, Bigelow!!- who also wrote it) and it is
pretty-much unlike anything I've seen.
