i'm with Tater here ,
i guess it would add proteen ,and hopefully the heat of the potatos would cook the whites ,probably have to mix it in VERY fast !!

Well, it tastes crappy! Just my opinion. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Anyway, I have one sister who has taken to doing this and nobody knows why. Also, she mushes her boiled eggs to a pulp for potato salad... odd behaviors, I tells ya!

Pieces of sliced boiled eggs isn't a bad addition to potato salad, but I don't know about mashed.

Tater, we all (in our family) add sliced boiled eggs, but for some reason... she now mashes them. I haven't had the pleasure of eating it, but my other sister said nobody would eat it.

that's a bit different breezey ! friend used to mash the POTATOS for potato salad ,even if all the other ingredients are the same it does NOT taste the same !!and i'm sure neither does mashing the eggs. yuck

Haha!! I don't think I'd care to try it!

I wonder why people do something so different than what they use to. I don't know anyone else who has ever mashed the eggs or potatoes for a salad and my mom never did... so... why?! lol
