I don't know as I have a favorite house pet... I had hamsters, cats, dogs, a rabbit and more... just not all at the same time! I like pets as long as they know their place. lol I really have a problem with cats and dogs who will grab food off the tables and counters or will climb all over the tables and counters. I had a cat that was well trained and loved, but never would go on the table or counters. I think it just depends on the animal's behavior as to whether I will like it or not.

Mine were well trained and they were always fed before we ate. The cat never jumped up on the table, and the dog knew his place. Now the kitty just loved chicken or turkey so when we ate, they would get some too, so that kept them busy or otherwise I would kick their butts out.lol

pets are such fun. at the moment my favourite is the dog, roxy, (no prizes for guessing !!) and i am very fond of houdini the budgie as well. his best friend jaws died about a week ago, don't know what happened .houdini seems quite cheerful chirping away all day like he always has, so i have not given him a new friend.
it has happened before ,that the female died , after a week i replaced her and the older bird just would not accept the new one.i gave away both of them, and swore never to have another bird......
a few years down the track....same thing, this time though i wont introduce a new one.i hate seeing just one bird ,but think it would be worse put another one in there... houdini really will be the last bird.

my favorite house pet is a CAT. Yup...

I've never had a bird... they seem somehow "other"
and I'd be afraid I couldn't take proper care of it.
I like birds well-enough in their own habitats.

I have never had two birds at a time. Always just one. I don't know if I'd be allowed a bird here without paying a high cost to have it.. since we still rent, pets are an added fee to the rent.

Cmon Breezey they freaking charge you to have a pet??? OMG how bad is that, especially birds. I never heard of such a thing. What a slum landlord to do that.

Breezey, I can see charging extra for the security deposit for cats and dogs, as they can be destructive, but your landlord would have to be a bird brain to charge somebody for a bird!

You got that right Tater. What damage can a bird do, knock down the house,lol, gee, the worst that could happen is he eats bugs.
