Bunny,
Thanks for the stars!
I'm not mad a Obama - at least not any more than ALMOST
any other President, after the honeymoon.
BUT...
"YOU VOTED FOR HIM - YOU FIX IT"
is LOOONG overdue. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ABOUT THIRTEEN YEARS OVERDUE. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
YES, I hold a grudge.
Yes, I haaaate! Dubya.
YES!! I blame this entire mess on him.
One of my FAVORITE!! bumperstickers and one I have in my collection:
"Don't blame ME - I voted for MCGOVERN"
My most favoritist political bumperstcker EVER is still:
"WILLIE NELSON FOR PRESIDENT!! Paul English for vice."

Tater,
Paul English is Willie Nelson's drummer -since 1955 I think,
and the "Paul" of Willies' song "Me and Paul".
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I checked with Wikipedia...
~~
Paul English
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Paul English is Willie Nelson's longtime drummer who started playing with him in Fort Worth in 1955. In the early days, one of his duties was to serve as a strong armed collection agent for overdue payments from club owners for the band. Paul resides in Dallas, TX
English is the titular "Paul" of the Willie Nelson song "Me and Paul."

Ahhh. I see he was also his strong armed collection agent.
Maybe that's how they came up with the term, "Outlaw country"?

Tater,
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Um... that term was coined because 'The Grand Ol' Opry'
refused to hire the musicians (Willie, Waylon, Kris, etc.)
who wore levis and beards instead of all that crap with the
spangles and stuff. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The Opry's loss.
I do know -first hand- that since the very early days,
Paul has always carried a .45 in his boot. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
They played a lot! of really, really bad bars -
(chicken wire and bottle-throwing drunks) in the "good ol' days".
Paul has always had Willie's back.
Willie, in return , has always has everybody's back.
Watch Paul sometime... even now, when they're working -
no matter where the gig is - Paul is always, always watching
the crowd.
He reminds me of a Secret Service Agent - with a better cover.
(And a better wardrobe , of course...)[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
They ALL had to do a lot of their own collection work.
ALL of them.
Otherwise -depending on who you ask, of course -
the age-old term of bad-ass probably applies. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Good ol' boys know how to look out for themselves
and those they care about. };>
