What have you been up to today?
I took time this morning to learn some useful tips about gardening, vegetables and fruits and how to make organic compost. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Banana peels seems to have a lot of benefits for a garden!

Re: What have you been up to today?
Not much really ...
Cooked breafast.
Doing some laundry.
Cooking some black-eyed peas for later.
Checking e-mail.
Hopping here and hopping there, ya know?!
Trying my best to stay cool in this awful heat!

Awful heat seems to be a common thing for most of us... some just more than others!
I am starting a project today and had to shop for things I needed first.
Time to make a meal, but who wants to cook?!

I'm just trying to keep cool in the A/C and watching the Phillies game.
Breezey, are you starting a compost bin?

A compost bin...hmmm... it said they need to breathe and bins don't do that so well. So far, just collecting information. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
It doesn't have to be a "bin" per se; they just call them that. They generally have slots for air circulation. You can also make a simple one out of chicken wire.
Making one will be the easy part. Making one HERE will be the hard part. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
my compost bins never worked properly, so i just fill the larger pots with layers of compost material and soil, turn now and then ,when 3/4 full add potting mix and plant what ever.works ok

Does that really work?! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] That would work out better here, if it does about the same as a compost bin. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
it's not quite the same as compost bins, but the stuff does break down, i din't necessarily wait for all of it to be totally composted ,just add the potting mix when it's 3/4 full.
I will give that a try. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Thank you Roxanna. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Today: Monday: grocery shopping day.
I've been to Wal-mart, and lived to tell about it!
Then, I got home and in the mailbox,
I found a jury summons! Yeah, it's Monday!

Aren't Mondays just wonderful, Jack?
When school starts, I will be back to hating Mondays.
Pssstt!! Hide the mail and act like you never got it!
I'd like to jude hide it and forget about it ...Breezey Breezey wrote:JackRabbit wrote:Today: Monday: grocery shopping day.
