What determines if you will or won't click on links?
For me, it has a lot to do with knowing a person who posted the link and whether the person is someone I trust.
Known sites that have no problems is another factor.
New or never heard of links and posted by someone I don't know... I usually opt to skip the link. Ya just never know what is in that link!!

Elsewhere - it's do I /can I trust the site.
(I NEVER click on a link - ANYONE'S - on Y!A.)
Then, in general :
first: How much of a strain it will cause for Ol' Mo.
second: Is it about anything I want to know.
Because - ALL links pose an added stress for my computer.
Mostly when I'm here on 'Fooey, it's Ol' Mo.
For instance "we" CAN'T Youtube.
The only way I can be on-site at all is because
I block just-about everything. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

it depends on the site itself ,trust/not trust ,and the subject matter, don't click on music at all because i still don;t have sound.
the problem of clicking on sites here is: usually it's so interesting, and opens up a HEAP of other things to explore, i can go on for ever !!

Roxanna and Ja'aj... at least it's interesting! And maybe you learn something? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Just a small tip here... even on this site...Yafooey... never click links of people you don't really know or are unsure of. Just because somebody joins this site, does not make them okay or credible. Trusted members... people who are definitely okay.. will now have their user names show up in a dark blue and others will not.
As a member shows good standing and credibility, they will be added to the trusted members. Too many are starting to join, just to post links.
Sounds like a good idea, Breezey. Of course, it's always a good idea to be wary of links from people you don't know.
Another tip: Even if you get an email from somebody you know, if there is no subject line, or something generic like "Hi friend", and there either is no body except a link, or a message that doesn't sound like something your contact would send, do not click on the link. Contact your friend and let them know you received an email from their address that seems suspicious.
