What did you do before you started using internet?

Are there things you use to do that you don't anymore?

i used to read books, breezey . ever since i learned to read, i loved books.i had two 6ftx3ft.book cases full ,plus a lot i gave away,i joined book clubs and went to the library as well.
since the internet i have read very few books, maybe coincidence,but my concentration is not what it used to be !! also i can get any information on any topic ,and have a lot of fun and communicate with people from all over the world . so looks like the internet has replaced books for me !!

Like you, I read a lot of books before using the internet. For a long time... I quit, but now make time for books and internet. I don't read a book as fast as I use to, but at least I still find some time. Now, a book a month is about it for me.

When I first started using internet, I got carried away and had no time for anything, but internet. Now... I am starting to do some of the things I forgot about. Hobbies, crafts and other things are not as often, but I wouldn't give up the internet either. I have met wonderful people and they have made a difference in my life too. I guess I can also say that this site and all the things I've learned about coding, etc.. has become a new hobby for me.

Update...
I use to ride bike, go for a lot of walks, go on more family oriented outings...

Am back to most of that and reading more again.
Maybe some of it is because I can't be on the computer as much now.

I used to read a lot of books on the Civil War,now i watch a DVD on the subject when i can find one. I also used to play my guitar & banjo,now they just set in the corner most of the time. When one spends 3-4 hours on this contraption,not much time for the good things in life.

I love hearing someone playing guitar and banjo!!
Don't you kind of miss that?

i love hearing guitar as well, when my son was still a kid and living at home, he used practice guitar in his room at night, i loved hearing it, of course it was minus the amplifiers !!
i'm looking for a picture, will post it if i can find it.

Yes i do miss playing,but with the arthritis setting up in my hands & fingers it gets harder to play them. I am with roxanna on the amplifiers. I hate real loud music,at least indoors. It wasn't bad when going to Bluegrass Festivals outside. Back then i drank beer,and really didn't care about the noise level. Now this is about as strong as i can handle

I don't read nearly! as much as I did - which actually saves me $$.
I don't seem to miss it - I read for the 1st 200 years of my life. I suppose if I missed it I wouldn't have given it up as much. as I have... ?
Apart from that I do pretty-much what I've always done.
The Net came along at an opportune time for me.
I'm glad it and I have a connection.

That's really a shame - arthritis sucks and it
seems to be a more prevalent issue all the time.
I thought "they" were on the bunny trail to eradicating it;
now it seems they've lost interest.
Do you get help with medication ?

My wife reads a LOT She read 160 books last year,and rides her exercise bike while reading also. Her nickname is BUnny I can't concentrate on it anymore,i want to skip ahead and read between the lines. So have a nice day everyone! P.S. I do take 2 kinds of pills,but the stiffness is still there,so this is what i do in all my spare time
