Page 30 Sec 123 of HC bill: THERE WILL BE A GOVT COMMITTEE that decides what treatments/benefits you get.

Page 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill: YOUR HEALTH CARE IS RATIONED!!!

Page 42 of HC Bill: The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your HC benefits for you. You have no choice!

Page 50 Section 152 in HC bill: HC will be provided to ALL non-US citizens, illegal or otherwise.

Page 58 HC Bill: Govt will have real-time access to individuals' finances & a 'National ID Health card' will be issued! (Papers please!)

These are not my findings... these are what are being pointed out as wrong or not for the good of the people. I want to know if anyone knows anything about any of this.

I thought it was not going to be government run, I am so lost just like the whole country on this I do not have a clue what they are going to do. All I here is Obama wants it so people with a terminal disease or cancer, or an existing condition can not be denied health care and can not be dropped from health care. I have Kaiser Insurance and because I have cancer they could drop me, and I would not be able to get any insurance. He talked about premiums not going sky high, there were some other good points he had but the whole thing got so screwed up by Congress no one understands this. There is a lot of misconception to this plan like if you are a senior we deny you health care, thats a lie, so there is much propaganda over this plan. Nothing like confusing the American people.

I am trying to weed through the garbage and find the facts.

Breezey, what you posted is obviously very biased, and I suspect not completely truthful. Looks like more of the propaganda from the GOP. A lot of crap is being put out there by the people who stand to not be able to make quite as many billions of dollars as they are now. Did you know that Walmart encourages their employees to use public health benefits, because they don't want to cover their own employees?

Tater, I realize it might not all be accurate or unbiased. I want to know how I find out what is actually fact.

As for Walmart... no comment because I wouldn't have anything good to say about how the employees are treated.

I'm sure we could find the actual bill online if we look hard enough.

Thats the congress our government for you. This one bill is what a couple THOUSAND pages of Fog for the normal person. Why can't they ever make things simple. These congressman are lawyers, a lot of them are or overly educated and make things so difficult to understand so they can confuse the normal person. In the beginning when George Washington was president, things were so much easier to understand because not everyone had any schooling or very little. The Declaraton of Independence, the Constitution, was much easier to understand than this health bill. Why can't they for once get off their high horses and explain things to us so everyone can understand. I think Obama tries to do that but congress and the media jumble it all up and confuse everyone. The congressman, the governor's are getting worse and worse. Take Palin for example, I once said I would not be surprised if she had her own reality show, well, they are talking about actually doing it. She's in it for the bucks, just like her book, will the people of this country ever wake up. Some of these guys in government get caught cheating on their wives, and if they do that , what will keep them from cheating on us. They set a horrible example for the country, I find it disgusting.

Well, the bill is now supposedly passed and I still don't know anymore than I did. All anyone seems to think they know is that insurance prices will go up. I have not seen one piece of evidence on what the damn bill is really doing or going to do.

Does anyone know if this got added in?

The Obama Administration has given a
boost to Senator Ted Kennedy's national long-term care insurance
program, the CLASS Act. In a July 6 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
to Kennedy, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sibelius said
President Obama believes "it is appropriate to include the CLASS Act as
part of health reform." Obama co-sponsored the bill when he was in the
Senate, but has been silent on the issue since he was elected President.
While Obama's endorsement is a major step forward for the plan, it by
no means assures its passage. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max
Baucus (D-MT) has been reluctant to include the proposal in his
bill. White House aides have said Obama will not get deeply involved
in a final health reform measure until after the House and Senate have
passed their versions of reform--probably sometime this fall.
The CLASS Act would provide access to government long-term care
insurance to every worker. It would provide a benefit of at least $50 a
day for life. Kennedy is aiming for an average premium of $65 per month,
although the HHS Secretary would have broad discretion to set both
benefits and premiums. Workers would be automatically enrolled, but
could opt out of coverage should they choose.
