Tater... I realize people can say it doesn't mean small farms and gardens will be included... I just don't agree.
If they're not excluded from the bill, they can eventually be included.That is where the problem is.
Who benefits from this bill? The small farmers or big companies? The name "Monsanto" keeps popping up again with this one.
I'm going to keep looking, but even now... it looks like small farms and gardens "could" be included at a later date and if it could be, it most likely will be .
I remember a time when I was able to buy milk from a farmer... cream included. Haven't been able to do that for so many years and I refuse to believe it was for my safety that it all changed. And why is someone else allowed to tell me what I can and can't eat or drink? If I want REAL milk from the store, it's overpriced and still doesn't have the cream I use to get. That cream is sold separately at high prices.
When do people start taking notice? When it's all modified genetic crap?

If we really started looking back at what all the government has changed and taken control of.. little by little... we'd realize the government can do so much that we never thought it would.
What about farmers markets and food exchange groups where people trade food with each other?
I don't understand why not many care we are losing choices on food and much more.
We can have sugared up foods, alcohol and addictive drugs, but we can't have whole milk the way it really is supposed to be. We can have genetically altered and modified food, but the REAL stuff is getting harder to come by.

Why does most of it seem to be "science based"?
