Re: Does England have gun control?
I believe they have very strict gun control laws, which might be why their murder rate is about half of what ours is in the U.S.
Although, certain people are exempt...

Re: Does England have gun control?
Yes they do and it is one reason i wouldn't want to live there. You would have no protection against crimes committed during riots and other disasters when crazy people go looting etc. The "Bobbies " can't protect you with a little club. You need something fast!

Re: Does England have gun control?
This goes along with the one i started a while back about gun control. If we let our so called "Leader" take away our right to have guns, then we will be easy marks for a complete take over. Don't be fooled Obama is out to get us,and let us be setting ducks.

Just like Obama here in the USA He says he can do what he wants without approval of Congress and Senate. Sound familiar, like Hitler and Stalin, Castro.

Re: Does England have gun control?
Okay... it looks like we're getting way off the main question.
If the queen has a gun, anyone know what it is? lol

It could be a Glock 45 MM with a silencer . That way if she shoots an intruder, she won't wake up the neighbors.

Well, I'm glad you find it interesting!
I am going to have to read more of it, when I am feeling a little better. We can compare notes?

Re: Does England have gun control?
Bree, the Queen's gun is a STEN... I think...
("patriotic" would likely be the watchword for the Queen of England)
BUT... - since I'm pretty-sure [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] that photo is shopped... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
they might not have been too careful... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Um... Sneaky... ?
ENGARADE* !
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I think (actually, I am CERTAIN...) you have confused that
"without approval of Congress and Senate".It came form DUBYA.
Remember ? He actually WAITED! (MANY TIMES!) - until
Congress was IN RECESS!! and he then tried -
(until the SUPREME COURTPUBLICLY! slapped him down! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.])
to sneak through his pet "ideas" (?) that Congress - BOTH HOUSES!
(being of (mostly) sound mind) would not allow.
Bree,
Again : the gun is a Sten, I think... probably. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Does England have gun control?
re: Poster above (Great! poster!)
No one can accuse the Queen of being ostentatious-
(on her own time; State Occasions -*sound trumpets* -
are pretty-much formulated, I imagine)
Her manicure is nearly non-existent and her watch (I haven't any idea
what brand it is) is fitted with a modest (see:tacky) black leather band.
It s nice to know that on her "own time" (is that possible for a Monarch?)
she is down-to-earth. (I think she is, anyway...)
AND...
She has a lovely speaking voice and speaks the most precise
English I think I have ever heard.
I love to listen to her when she speaks; it is beautiful ! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
She makes me realize that the English aren't being (merely [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.])
picky snobs... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] - we Americans (and you Australians [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.])
do NOT speak the Queen's English.
No even close.

Re: Does England have gun control?
you so right JaaJ ,we do NOT speak the queens English,as a matter of fact, it's become fashionable to speak as un-Queens Enlish as possible, where they go to anoying extremes ! some of them sound like cartoon characters ,I'm talking of people in the media, and youg girls/women seem to be the worst culprits .Now I really don't think it's necessary for us to sound like like plum in the mouth Brits, but not like donald duck either !!

LMAO! I never heard it described quite that way before!
I imagined it was a walnut they had in their mouth.

Re: Does England have gun control?
I think that the Brits are jelous because us "Bloody Yanks" can still have our guns. At least we can if the vote comes out right in the next election.
