Should a daycare be expected to help potty train children?
If a child is in daycare, should the daycare people be expected to help potty train the child?

That's a good point.
Time seems to be the problem.. it's time consuming to train each child and some day cares say it's not part of the job.
I always thought if you did child care, you did what was needed for the different ages, including potty training.

This is a "poopy question."
I don't like poopy questions ...
That said ... seems like a "common sense" thing to do. May not be pleasant, but SOMEONE has to do it! Think of the child's welfare. It's not about the irresponsibility of the adults ... it's about a child's well-being and development. No?

Poopy question or not, when a parent is already potty training at home, the child needs someone to stick with it at day care too. lol Makes you wonder if the day cares will require your child be potty trained before attending.. like kindergarten starting doing with ABCs and tying shoes.

It's called shopping. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Some Day Care's will; some won't.
Ask them - they will tell you.
All of the centers here say whether or not a toddler must
be potty-trained.
Also, some take infants only - some won't take a child under
18 months... etc.
