If you could come across the miles to be with me
At this wondrous Christmas season of the year,
You would hear the bells ring out across the valley,
Your heart would fill with joyful Yuletide cheer.

The snow-clad hills are lovely in the country,
The night sky filled with brightly twinkling stars,
The pond stands white and still against the north wind
And friendly cedars spread their sheltering arms.

Our hearts are filled with tender love at Christmas
As we gather in the church upon the hill.
The organ sounds and children's voices singing,
Tell us of peace on earth, to men good will.

My love goes out to you, dear friend, at Christmas ...
