DANCING WITH WOLVES
DANCING WITH WOLVES
I should learn
To read signs from your eyes,
Words from your fingers,
Anger from your silence,
Hurt from your smiles.
I should not heed
Your hostile battle cry
When your head tilts to beckon mine
Into your orbit of fight.
I should instead
Seek the moon
Shrouded in your clouds.
A brightness that often hides
Within your rituals of pride.
Learn to hear the winds
Whining from your heart.
The secret sighs of night
Cast among your quiet qualms.
If I could dance
With your wild wolves...
Howling, screaming,
Breaking loose inside,
Then I could tame
Your vicious fraction
That frays and fritters
Your beautiful icon.

Re: DANCING WITH WOLVES
I really like this!
It's different from what I'm use to and gets to my imagination... picturing it all.
I like your style of writing....
You definitely have talent!

Hey thanks, Breezey!
My comp. just lost connection a long while ago. Good enough that I was able to scare it off to reconnect me again *lol*
And I like your rhymes as well.

Re: DANCING WITH WOLVES
Yeah, mostly... though I did have fixed rhymes in some of my poems before. But I kinda shifted to more smooth way like pouring it all 'just as it is' from inside....like no restrictions for the feelings? *lol*

I would think the more a person writes, the more that person will find a style that suits his/her individuality. It looks to me like you've done that. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Thanks, jack!
Wow! Really would have said it best with your wolves picture there! Fantastic! Scared me a bit though when they stared at me? (Are they full enough? )

Hey, ja'aj! Thanks!
I'd tried even more than that, ya'know? I ended up renailing the strewn screws from my table, and mapping dry the floor for the spills of my 'frape'. *lol*

Thanks, Breezey!
Your style is definitely more professional as it follows the meter and rhyme that characterize a good poem.
And it soothes your neat and orderly personality.

Eink and Roxanna, thank you? A lot of thanking going on here! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Eink, is poetry "really" supposed to be professional, by certain standards, or is it suppose to touch others and make a difference, no matter what style is used? Just something I often think about.

Re: DANCING WITH WOLVES
Actually, that's just what the 'academics' put in our minds. To me though, poetry is an art. A 'special language' than begins like a "lump in the throat", forming a thought, a certain longing,.. and finds the words to express it.

That might explain why I only write at certain times. I can't seem to just write a poem at any given time or about just anything. It's usually something I feel...
My words aren't coming out quite right to explain this. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Eink,
Yeah... that's the drawback of tantrums, isn't it? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Oh well...
by the time I'm finished cleaning up the mess I've made, I'm
- usually - over whatever provoked it.
It's great to see you here!
Again, WELCOME!! to the neighborhood!
Now let's see if you can keep your connection to 'Fooey
and we will all benefit! from your participation.
(Doesn't THAT! sound self-serving? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.])
Uh... well... it IS, but mostly I mean it's a pleasure to
have you here with us.

'Acedemics' (?) are there (ideally) to teach how to put what we feel onto
paper so others can share it.
IMO... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]... the best measurement of how well someone is doing (?)
is the amount of satisfaction the writer receives from having done it.
If others understand it and "relate" to it, it becomes popular.
That's nice - especially! if it's a "calling"...

Someone "calling"?
Yes, Ja'aj is right... do I really HAVE to admit that?! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I enjoy writing.. not sure I'd want to be on deadlines for it....
