For news, I go to Google ,Yahoo, and the two local newspaper's websites, although I prefer the newspapers themselves to the internet for news.
I also regularly visit Consumerist, Buzzfeed, Vox, and Slate, and occasionally TakePart and Alternet.

Oh, I almost forgot one of the sites I go to most often for detailed information on any particular topic of interest; Wikipedia.

I like to know what's going on in the world, and I like to read various articles from various and balanced sources. I feel like if you limit yourself to one or two websites for most of your news and reading, you may end up vulnerable to a biased viewpoint.

I use other sites... just not daily or mainly.
I see things a little differently... too much intake is overload! lol
Besides, everybody has this "need" to tell me all the bad news anyway!
