Can you believe how quick a month goes.. let alone a year. January 31 today. Where did that go?

seriously though, one year instead of waiting for December I decided to buy Christmas gifts that were on special through out the year, got some great bargains, but come December and there was nothing special to do, it felt kinda flat, not very Christmasy, so back to December and the atmosphere and Christmas spirit.

My problem when I do that is trying to remember exactly where I put it all. I know it's somewhere safe, but where ???? and IF I find it in time, who did I have in mind when I bought that interesting knick-knack?

I suppose one solution would be to get it all packed up and labeled ready. When it came to Christmas day what was inside the wrapping paper would be as much a surprise to me as everyone else!

A Harley... a guy who remains an individual and can still treat a woman with decency... even being a "biker". smile2

I once learned some men can be bikers, like bikes and still be decent human beings. lol

Roxanna... how could you!!! Reminding us we only have 11 months to shop for xmas... lol.. Are the Easter eggs in the shops where you live already? They are here.. The only thing with them is.. if I was to buy them and hide them.. I would be sure not to find them.. They would be WELL hidden.. (eaten) lol hare run

I was in York and ran into a pub full of bikers visiting from USA. You've never seen so much leather and tattoos. They were the nicest people you could wish to meet! Me, I was a Triumph man myself.

With our February snow 4 wheels, I find, are less painful than 2!

I never owned a Harley... but I admire them. I am still realistic enough to figure my money is better spent elsewhere. lol
I've been on Harleys and nephews own Harleys... even a few Indians... nice bikes!

And yes... many bikers with a lot of leather and tattoos can be so deceiving!
I think a few bad groups make it hard for the rest... people see them all the same.

It was a bike ,Honda ...of some sort... that got me into trouble in the first place. The boy across the road had some mates with bikes (not the bikie gang type) all I wanted was a ride around the block, long story short ,it turned into the longest ride of my life ! marriage, kids, house ,divorce ..bla bla ..bla.. LOL at least I got 2 nice kids and 2 grandkids ,all worth it !! dance smiley

The only bike I have ever ridden.. I rode straight into the fence of the bull's paddock at my Uncle's place, when I was about 9 years old. I had never ridden before and never will again.. The bull was not too happy and I ran a mile back to the farmhouse.. All my cousin could do was laugh his head off at me.

Same experience on a horse.. it bucked me off when staying on another cousins farm.. She just laughed.. but I was petrified and I have never been on a horse since. They look lovely running around the paddock. That's where my liking of them STOPS. I wonder how I would have fared if I had tried to ride the bull instead of running away from it. Cars are good to ride in.. and I stay out of the paddocks where the bulls are. wave

My daughters insisted I joined in a riding lesson ONCE. Eventually they craned me up. The first thing that happened is that the horse, obviously disturbed by all the fuss, turned around and bit my foot. I don't like horses now, either end!

I just LOVE horses! Learned how to ride bareback and stayed on that horse the whole day! lol It was fine until I finally had to get off the horse and my legs were like jelly... I fell straight to the ground! That didn't stop me from showing up the next day to ride again. smile2

My older brother never had any luck with horses. They all bit him...not sure what that's about....

Strangely enough I do still use chalk. It makes a mark that even I can see and is easily removed. I don't have a blackboard, if thats what you meant, but do have a tendancy to write on most everything else. Any projects usually involve marking out with chalk somewhere along the line.

It's surprising what can be achieved with just a ball of string, a couple of nails, a tape measure, and a piece of chalk.
