What are things people easily throw away?
Is just about everything disposable in this world?

I don't think so; I am "one of those" who never throws anything away.

Me, too! In fact, in the back of my closet, I think I still have some shirts I wore in high school! LOL ... And, NO ... you may not ask how long ago THAT was!
People today have a mentality that everything is disposable. They would rather buy "new" than repair the old. Think about it ... do you see that many TV Repair shops now? Or for that matter, repair shops of most any type? Today, it's "just throw it away and buy a new one" ... and by the time you get the new one to the parking lot of the store where you bought it ... there will be a new, updated version out! I get tired of trying to keep up with the latest version of everything. Don't you?

Re: What are things people easily throw away?
I agree with you, Jack.
I actually had a repair person tell me it would be "just as cheap"
to buy ane new one when I took something to be repaired.
He kinda seemed to think I was "unwell" when I said I didn't
want a new one. ??

Re: What are things people easily throw away?
Did you know, there's a whole area of study devoted to what people throw away? (I brought this over from "Useless Facts.")

Garbology ...
If you have ever thrown out an important item by accident and had to fish it out of the dumpster, you've experienced a small bit of what garbologists do every day. Garbology, a small niche of archaeology, is the scientific study of trash and the way it reflects upon the lifestyles of a group of people. The concept was first introduced to the world of academics in 1971 by Professor William Rathje of the University of Arizona, and the field has gained popularity in recent decades.

Re: What are things people easily throw away?
To be honest.. I believe most everything is a throw away in this world. Nobody wants something that isn't perfect or the best. Nobody takes time to see the possibilities of what it COULD be, just what it is now. Nobody wants to put an effort into making something worth keeping.
This.. I think... applies to material things and even more... marriages, friendships, obligations...
It's becoming very rare to see the "keepers".
When I say "nobody", I realize it's not everybody. lol
