beetroot hummus,yuuummmyyyyyyy!!
came across this one on the net.
cooked chick peas and beetroot in roughly equal amounts, tahini, lemon juice,a little olive oil, cumin, i used morrocan spices instead, onion and garlik , put all in a food processor and process like crazy, till it's nice and smooth, if it feels a little to thick ,i add yoghurt.beautiful to serve with plain yoghurt and dipping stuff of your choice.

I love hummus! A lot of people use pita for dipping in hummus, but I find tortilla chips work just fine.
Yes Breezey, Tahini is basically just ground sesame seeds, and it's one of the main components of hummus, along with crushed chick peas.

To be honest, I have never tried hummus and this will be a first attempt to make it.

I never tried hummus with beets; I made my own hummus once but usually I just buy it ready made.
