Intuition

Have you ever met someone and instantly had a "feeling" about them. Do you go with your gut feelings or do you second guess yourself?

ie.. We went out to get rocks and ended up in a rather deserted old place and the people we met gave us both the "feeling" that something was not quite right.. but both couldn't explain to one another why. There was just "something" about them.. The next day these same people found out where we live and bought a ute load of rocks to us.
Did we misjudge the situation and the people.. or should we still be wary? Was it just the fact that the place was so deserted and no one would ever have known where to find us and that the people were way over friendly?

I need more info! Did they know you wanted that many rocks or any rocks at all, for that matter? Were you supposed to get rocks from them? I have questions!!!

They knew we were coming to get rocks. I advertised online for them and they answered..

I'm curious as to how they found out your address. Did you give it to them, or did they somehow find out on their own?

What you were feeling may have been a reflection of their initial caution and over compensation. You were in their space and they may have felt vulnerable. How did you feel about them when they were in your space?

Personally I go with my intuition about individuals. I'm always very suspicious of over friendly manipulative people, especially if they show signs of arrogance (my least favorite of human properties). I've worked with a few psychopaths and always keep them very much at arms length.

Some other people I'd trust with my life. And then there are those rare few who have an affinity from the very first second.

Tater... you are like me, wanting to know all the facts first. 

I have been around people who send me a vibe.. good or bad and I usually can't shake it too easily. 
Many times, I proceed with caution and am glad I didn't just dive in.

Tater.. they got our address through a conversation we had about a boss my husband used to work for at the dairies. This woman was going for a job there and my hubby said he knew the man she mentioned was interviewing her and she happened to know him too. She then turned up the next day with a ute load of rocks and told us she had rang the mutual acquaintance to find out more about the job and asked him where we lived.
Now.. you could see this as a very kind act if it wasn't for this gut feeling we both have about her and her partner.
P.. when she was here, we still had that same feeling.
Breezey.. We both felt the need to be cautious. Normally we would ask people in for a cuppa, but felt very uneasy to do so. Going with our gut feelings.

If somebody I just met once showed up at my house unannounced, and I hadn't given them my address let alone invited them to stop by, I would be more than a little disconcerted.

Yep... and I'd be upset that someone gave them my address without even asking.. 
I thought it was a standard rule.. never give someone's phone number or address without knowing if that's okay with them.
