Because I don't have Snow!!!... WHY do I have to get burnt to a crisp trying to plant a garden!!! Same reason... It's all about the location you live... lol..
Be grateful you don't have to shovel Sh-t, like I used to out of calf pens. Give me snow anyday...

Hmmm... I would much prefer the heat. As it is... it is always cold, skies always look gray and blah....can't really do anything outside...

Re: 2015
Well... I know which is warmer..... I just can't believe you would prefer that alternative. Some people think that their Sh-t doesn't stink... but I assure you.... It DOES... and it's the last thing you would want to walk outside.. shovel.. and stand in!!!!!!!!!
What I want to know is.. And it's a very philosophical question.... If you were to mix snow and Sh-t together, would the snow take the smell out of the sh-t?
Imagine when the ice starts to melt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your pic reminds me of a trick W played on my Mum years ago... He bought a fake poo from a "fun shop" and took it with us when we went to visit her. We were having a cup of tea and when Mum went out of the room for a minute, he placed the fake poo on the floor near his chair.. When she came back, we talked for a bit, then he reached down and said.. "What is this" picked it up and sniffed it.. and said. "It smells and looks like poo!!!".. Mum was disgusted and said she had no idea how that got into the house and that it must have come in on our shoes.. W then proceeded to sniff it again and to Mum's horror, W put it in his mouth and said.. "It even tastes like poo"... to which Mum almost vomited.. While we roared with laughter..... She saw the joke..... eventually.

Re: 2015
According to the weather forecasters over here we have a new phenomena now. To add to their dumbed down terms for us poor uneducated plebs we now have lieing snow. There is some outside at the moment, I can hear it from here, "I'm black, I'm black, I'm black!". I'm just glad it isn't brown.

Re: 2015
P, by lieing snow, do they mean when it's cold enough for snow to land and stick, and not melt as soon as it hits the ground?

Re: 2015
Thats what they intended but people tend to misinterpret these things for some reason. We do get a fair amount of cold water here. It seems that there are a few quirks in our language with multiple meanings. Occaisionally they creep out and bite someone who's bending over. It isn't just You Tube, dear old auntie BBC has it's moments, like the legendary Michael Fish.

Re: 2015
Michael Fish - a legendary weather forecaster here who famously (and very confidently) predicted on national TV that a hurricane in the Atlantic wouldn't make it this far. It did! There was widespread damage, and guess who was first in line for the blame!
There were a lot of people who took it personally, poor bloke. I think he was "moved" to a remote weather station in the North Atlantic, as near to Siberia as they could manage.

Re: 2015
Ahh, I see. Thanks for the clarification! Reminds me of one of the local weathemen here who, several times, predicted a major snowstorm, 15 to 24 inches, and we ended up getting 2 or 3 inches.

Another year later, and we actually did get that 18 to 24 inches this time. Lorry, if you still want snow, you can have all you want; you just have to figure out a way to get it down there!

There has to be a way to send all that snow our way. How did you all survive the snow storm we saw on the news? Will you guys ever get out of your houses again? It is quite mild here at present, but we are expecting more horrendous heat again soon. We actually had jumpers on this evening in the garden. Could you make snow men and frrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeze them to send them over? Stay warm all

Re: 2015
What's a jumper?
We just pretty much stocked up on essentials before the storm hit (we had plenty of warning over the last 5 or 6 days), and then stayed home and bunkered down (at least those of us with a lick of sense).
The good news is, for one thing, unlike in the Carolinas and Tennessee, we here in the northern states are used to it. We don't always get 2 feet at a time, but we have the equipment to deal with it. We were fortunate that it hit on the weekend, and we are also lucky that the temps are supposed to warm up into the 40's within the next couple of days, so that will help clear the roads and sidewalks.

Not as far as I know. It's localised regional usage suggests that its origins may go back further into one of our root languages, possibly Old English (or further). Difficult to tell, there are so many of them.

Re: 2015
We don't call them sweaters... but jumpers and sweaters are the same thing. Jumpsuits are different again and were worn back in the 60's.. I am starting to age slightly... but not that much. I was just a baby in the 60's.
