Re: What do you collect?
Ha ha Tater... dust is the easiest thing to collect and costs nothing.
I collect old books, old records, stamps, green glassware and old coins. Hubby collects plants. Everywhere we go, he finds another cutting or buys a plant.

Re: What do you collect?
Tater, I have some dust you can have....
Lorry, you branched out and collect a few things!
The only thing that seems to be a bit of a collection here is my dream catchers...or are they just part of the whole Native American thing?
I once had a thing for crystal pitchers, glasses and such, but didn't overdo that...
just a few nice things and I stopped.
Salt and pepper shakers once invaded my home and stole all the space, so I sold most of them. lol

Re: What do you collect?
The old coins and stamps started when I was in prep... A Nun ( a beautiful soul ) started me off with the stamps and my Uncle ( A very special man ) gave me some old coins. The record collection began when Mum's old stereo broke and she gave me all the records. Some of which I had given her throughout the years as presents. I used to buy Mum ( I Love her dearly ) an Elvis record for each Christmas. So now I have heaps of Elvis amongst many others. I have my grandfather's old 78's. The books I collect are children's books in particular. This stems from loving Grimms Fairy tales when I was a child and one day, I was at an Op Shop and found a copy of what I had as a child. The green glassware is a very special collection. For the past I don't know how many years now, W. ( My soul mate ) has given me a piece to add to the collection that started off as an anniversary present. It is the one thing I am really looking forward to unwrapping once we shift. Hoping none is broken.
I guess I am a collector of "memories" more than anything else.. and these "things" represent all that is dear to me. The Love that is attached to the "Why" of collecting these items of significance to me, is what is really important.. Not the things themselves.

Re: What do you collect?
I too seem to collect a lot of dust, although it isnt intentional! My garage is full of car bits, and my bookcases are groaning under the weight of archaeological journals. I also collect whisky although its recreational, not as an investment, and only the Spaeside variety. The angels seem to help themselves to their 10% on a regular basis (I suspect at the rate at which it "evaporates" the faries and unicorns are helping them out!), and I am forced to replenish stocks which involves frequent trips to Scotland (just to be on the safe side!).
I must admit that I am totally unable to resist collecting small fish on my trips to local garden centres while visiting to collect interesting plants. As Ive been doing this for years the "small fish" are no longer small, or cute, but very large and very hungry! The only other thing I can think of are bills for a wide range of goods and services which keep adding to my extensive collection on a daily basis, and, of which I have a good variety of sizes (mainly large, or so it seems) and a range of hues of attractive colours (mainly red!).
